Hi, my name is Evan, and I am a certified teacher in the state of Texas. I have taught in a Structured Language Classroom (SLC) for one year and have spent two years teaching 3rd grade. My “why” as an educator comes from my own journey as a student. Growing up with dyslexia and ADHD, I often struggled to fit into a system that wasn’t built for learners like me. That constant struggle chipped away at my confidence and made me question my own abilities. It wasn’t until college that I finally began to see my strengths and feel “smart” again. That experience shaped who I am as a teacher today—someone who meets students where they are, understands their unique learning needs, and helps them see their own potential. I strive every day to be the teacher I once needed.
